INVITATION

Dear Friends of Hemophilia,

It would not be an exaggeration to say that our efforts in the area of Congenital Bleeding Disorders as a country reached their peak. COVID-19 pandemic took away a lot from people’s lives and changed many things in all domains, including healthcare. Both the Hemophilia Society of Turkey and Federation of Hemophilia undertook events in line with their primary objectives and did their best to provide solutions to the ones that suffer; additionally, they realized the 17. International Hemophilia Congress of Turkey with great success. A total of 116 session chairs and presenters from 18 different countries were to take part at the online congress. We had participation from 585 different points at the Medical Hall, 282 different points at the Multidisciplinary Hall (G. Gedikoğlu) and 469 different points at the Symposium Halls.

Since from the beginning of the pandemic, we had access to the ones in scientific as well as socio-economic need on a weekly basis with different themes and different events. No doubt that our treatment centers, healthcare and social security authorities, scientists from different disciplines, our volunteers and employees offering selfless services as well as industry representatives supplying products to patients to cure their bleeding coagulation disorder are the unforgettable heroes behind this success. Additionally, our friends, brothers and sisters, colleagues that share the same sentiments and spend the same kind of efforts in different parts of the world as well as representatives of organizations and institutions that focus on realizing the same objectives were with us throughout the program, even if it was through the screen in this particular year. We would like to express our gratitude to those that contributed and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

In order to carry this well-deserved success in the area of Hemophilia to the future, we will be holding the 18. INTERNATIONAL HEMOPHILIA CONGRESS OF TURKEY at Limak CYPRUS Deluxe Hotel in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus between the dates September 19 – 22, 2021.

We would like to invite you all to participate at our next congress titled “WHEN THE MIST CLEARS AWAY” where we will discuss the latest developments, up-to-date situation and targets all together and would like to wish you all the very best.

Yours respectfully,

Prof. Dr. Bülent ZÜLFİKAR
